Oracle Shares Rally After Company Projects $225 Billion Revenue by Fiscal 2030

Oracle shares climbed on Wednesday following a sweeping financial forecast that projected revenue reaching $225 billion by fiscal 2030, a target that implies an average annual growth rate of 35%. The software giant also announced plans to cap additional fundraising over the same period at $20 billion during an investor day presentation.

Under the financing plan outlined for fiscal 2027 through 2030, the $20 billion in raised capital will be split evenly between equity and debt. In a filing submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company stated that vendor financing, customer-provided hardware, and customer prepayments are expected to reduce upfront cash requirements as the business transitions toward positive free cash flow. Analysts polled by LSEG had anticipated revenue growth of 8% for fiscal 2027, followed by an acceleration in subsequent years, leading to a consensus fiscal 2030 projection of $224.2 billion.

The strong market response follows a difficult period for the company’s valuation. Prior to Wednesday’s announcement, Oracle had lost approximately one-third of its market value this year amid investor concern that rising interest rates and a heavy debt load would make its ambitious artificial intelligence expansion unsustainable. According to S&P, Oracle has issued $117 billion in long-term debt and maintains a BBB- credit rating, representing the lowest investment-grade level above junk status.

Traditionally recognized as an enterprise software leader, Oracle moved aggressively into the artificial intelligence infrastructure market last year to challenge major hyperscalers including Amazon and Google. The pivot has required massive capital expenditures, which more than doubled to $55.7 billion in fiscal 2026. FactSet data indicates that spending is projected to increase by another 65% in the current fiscal year to reach $91.9 billion. To cover these soaring costs, the company is relying on substantial revenue expansion from its infrastructure buildout, projecting an operating margin exceeding 40% by fiscal 2030.

Co-CEO Caly Magouryk discussed the company’s trajectory during an appearance at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas on Oct. 27, 2026.
