Israeli Strikes Across Gaza Kill Eight People Including Child

A series of Israeli military strikes across the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of eight Palestinians, including a child, on Sunday, November 1, according to local emergency services and hospital officials. The casualties were reported following targeted operations in both the southern and northern sectors of the enclave.
Civil defense authorities reported that five individuals were killed in Khan Younès, while three others lost their lives in Gaza City. Local medical facilities confirmed receiving the bodies of the victims alongside several wounded civilians. The territory’s interior ministry stated that the strikes in Khan Younès specifically targeted several police officers who were on duty at the time.

In response to inquiries, the Israeli military confirmed it had targeted a suspected operative in the southern part of the territory as well as multiple individuals in the north, adding that military officials were reviewing the operational outcomes of the strikes.
The ongoing military campaign in Gaza, initiated following the October 7, 2023, attacks in southern Israel, has displaced nearly the entire population of the enclave. The total death toll from the conflict has surpassed 74,500, according to figures provided by the territory’s health ministry—data that the United Nations regards as reliable.
