Shrinking Season 4 Wraps Filming Ahead of Anticipated 2027 Return

Viewers accustomed to multi-year hiatuses between television seasons may experience a much quicker return for the Apple TV comedy series Shrinking. Following the conclusion of its third season earlier this year in April, production on the fourth season has officially wrapped, according to cast member Jessica Williams.
Williams, who portrays the character Gaby on the show, confirmed the milestone, signaling a remarkably fast production cycle that stands in contrast to typical streaming-era schedules. While traditional broadcast television historically maintained reliable annual schedules running from autumn through spring, modern streaming platforms frequently require audiences to wait significantly longer between new batches of episodes.
Apple TV has demonstrated exceptions to this prolonged wait time with series such as Slow Horses and Your Friends & Neighbors. Shrinking appears to be following a similarly accelerated trajectory. After the season 3 finale aired in April, reports emerged in May indicating that filming for the subsequent season was on the verge of commencing.
Because the character-driven comedy does not require extensive computer-generated imagery or heavy special effects, its post-production timeline is substantially shorter than those of fantasy or science fiction dramas. Industry observers note that the series could potentially make its debut as early as late January, aligning closely with a one-year window following the arrival of season 3. A more conservative projection places the return in the spring of 2027.

Seasons 1 through 3 are currently streaming on Apple TV. The platform is available on a subscription basis for $14.99 per month, with discount options available through the Apple One service bundle.
