Amazon Discounts Previous Generation Fire HD 10 Tablet by 53 Percent

Amazon has slashed the price of its previous-generation Fire HD 10 tablet by 53%, dropping the retail cost to $72.99 from its original $154.99 price tag. The markdown coincides with the introduction of Amazon’s newer Alexa-branded tablet lineup, signaling that the older inventory is being permanently cleared out.
The Fire HD 10 features a 10.1-inch 1080p Full HD display designed for media streaming across platforms like Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney+. Under the hood, the device includes 3GB of RAM to support everyday applications, casual gaming, and video calls, alongside a battery life rated for up to 13 hours on a full charge. The hardware is rounded out by 5-megapixel front and rear cameras.

Built-in Alexa functionality allows users to manage smart home devices, check local weather conditions, or play music via voice commands without physically interacting with the tablet. The device also accommodates an optional stylus for note-taking and sketching.
Buyers should note that the tablet operates on Amazon’s proprietary Fire OS rather than standard Android, meaning applications must be sourced through the Amazon Appstore rather than the Google Play store. Despite this ecosystem limitation, the device has accumulated more than 45,000 total ratings on Amazon, including over 34,000 five-star reviews.

Amazon has indicated that this price reduction will remain active until the remaining stock of the previous-generation hardware is completely sold out.
