Zendaya Recreates Halle Berry’s Iconic 2000 X-Men Look for Halloween

Zendaya embraced Y2K fashion for Halloween by paying homage to Halle Berry, recreating the exact vintage ensemble Berry wore to the red carpet premiere of the original “X-Men” in 2000.

The star’s longtime stylist, Law Roach, shared photographs on Instagram featuring Zendaya wearing the yellow geometric-print set alongside archival images of Berry in the original outfit. Roach thanked the Lanvin team for lending the coordinating pants and string bikini top for the holiday look.

This latest homage follows a similar fashion nod at last month’s Emmy Awards, where Zendaya walked the red carpet in a sheer Prada gown reminiscent of Berry’s appearance at the 2002 premiere of “Die Another Day.” Berry originally wore a beaded Collette Dinnigan mini dress for that event, and both stars featured matching pixie cuts. Roach previously confirmed that Zendaya’s short hairstyle was inspired by Berry’s signature look, with the stylist noting on social media that the entire Emmy appearance drew from Berry’s style archive.

Berry offered public approval of the Halloween tribute, posting on Instagram to share her support and declaring that Zendaya “murdered the night!”

The fashion tribute coincides with a period of personal attention for Berry, who recently concluded a legal dispute involving her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez. Martinez had filed for a temporary restraining order earlier in the month, accusing Berry of physically abusing their 13-year-old son, Maceo, and seeking primary custody. Following days of testimony, including statements from Maceo, a judge dissolved the restraining order, granted the former couple joint legal custody, and allowed Martinez to retain physical custody of their son.
