Golden State Warriors superstar guard Steph Curry is preparing to watch from the sidelines as his wife, Ayesha Curry, takes center stage in her most prominent acting role to date.
Ayesha stars as Chelsea in the upcoming Roku original film “Second Chance Holiday,” scheduled for release on November 5. In the holiday feature, her character navigates a history of holiday breakups before returning to her hometown and reconnecting with her high school sweetheart, played by Matthew Daddario.
Ahead of the premiere, Steph Curry took to social media on Tuesday to express his support and enthusiasm for his wife’s career milestone.
“My Leading Lady. I get to see the work behind the scenes and now the world gets to see you shine and this is just the beginning…,” Curry wrote in a post on X.
The public nod celebrated Ayesha landing the top spot on a casting sheet for the first time. While she has accumulated several previous acting credits throughout her career, “Second Chance Holiday” marks her largest and most visible project yet.
Her co-star, Daddario, brings a robust resume of his own with dozens of acting credits, setting the stage for an established pairing on screen. Meanwhile, Steph Curry continues his NBA season with the Warriors, recently appearing in an October 28 game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Minneapolis, but he has made it clear he is shifting his focus to championing his wife’s latest cinematic venture.
