SEAL PAC Campaign Ad Links Democratic Lawmakers to Communist Dictators in ‘Ideological War’

Representative Ryan Zinke (R-MT), the founder of SEAL PAC, has released a provocative new campaign advertisement that draws direct parallels between prominent Democratic lawmakers and historical communist and socialist dictators. The advertisement, produced in black and white, frames the current American political climate as a “war of ideologies,” suggesting that the same systems of government that American veterans once fought on foreign battlefields have now taken root within the United States.

The visual narrative of the ad juxtaposes images of historical dictators with contemporary liberal figures, including Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Representative Rashida Tlaib (MI), Michigan U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, and New York official Zohran Mamdani. According to Zinke, the goal of the campaign is to warn the public that socialist and communist ideologies are being adopted by a growing number of Americans.

Zinke characterized the current Democratic platform as a departure from traditional American values and constitutional principles. He specifically pointed to several policy areas that he argues represent a move toward communism, including open borders, the inclusion of trans-identified biological males in girls’ sports, and perceived threats to property and gun rights. Zinke also voiced strong opposition to proposals to expand or “stack” the U.S. Supreme Court, labeling such efforts as fundamentally anti-American.

Beyond its ideological critique, the ad serves as a promotional vehicle for several Republican veteran candidates running for office. Figures such as Representatives Derrick Van Orden (R-WI), Eli Crane (R-AZ), and Jen Kiggans (R-VA) are highlighted as the front line of defense in Washington, D.C. The ad also features Pat Harrigan (R-NC), Representative Ronny Jackson (R-TX), and Tom Barrett (R-MI). Zinke noted that the specific candidates featured in the video are rotated depending on the state where the ad is being broadcast, allowing the PAC to target specific battleground districts.

SEAL PAC is currently focusing its resources on approximately 18 seats across the country, primarily those held by or contested by veterans who support veteran-related issues. Zinke identified the seats held by Van Orden, Crane, and Kiggans as some of the most critical battlegrounds in the nation. He also expressed support for Representative Rob Wittman (R-VA), noting that while Wittman is not a veteran himself, his work on the House Armed Services Committee has made him a key ally on military and veteran issues.

Addressing the current political landscape, Zinke expressed skepticism regarding recent public polling data. While he maintained that the United States is not a communist nation, he argued that the Republican majorities in the House and Senate are the only remaining barrier to socialist candidates consolidating power. The ad concludes by reminding viewers that American heroes have historically fought these ideologies abroad and must now be prepared to address them at home.
