Ole Miss Crushes Auburn in Historic 77-Year Victory

Ole Miss delivered a commanding 45-15 dismantling of Auburn on Saturday, marking the program’s largest margin of victory over the Tigers in 77 years. The statistical milestone reached back to 1949, according to historical data noted by sports broadcasters.

The Rebels overwhelmed their opponents on both sides of the ball, accumulating 487 total yards of offense compared to Auburn’s 312. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss spearheaded the offensive surge, earning praise after completing his afternoon with 263 passing yards and 65 rushing yards. Chambliss secured all three of his touchdowns during the second half, elevating his season statistics to place him among an elite group of collegiate quarterbacks.

Meanwhile, the Ole Miss defensive unit stifled Auburn’s offensive rhythm throughout the contest, registering 10 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, five quarterback hurries, and two forced fumbles. The performance laid bare ongoing rushing difficulties for the Tigers.
