NBC Casts Jane Krakowski and Scott Adsit for Reggie Dinkins Season Two

NBC is preparing for a high-profile reunion during the second season of the comedy series “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.” The network announced that Jane Krakowski and Scott Adsit will join the cast as guest stars, reuniting with their former colleague Tracy Morgan. The series, which stars Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe, already features a significant creative pedigree from the Emmy-winning comedy “30 Rock,” with creators Sam Means and Robert Carlock serving as showrunners alongside executive producer Tina Fey.

Krakowski, known for her roles in “Schmigadoon!” and “30 Rock,” has been cast as Angela Broyer. Her character is described as an interior decorator to the stars based in northern New Jersey. The role establishes a deep history with the titular Reggie (Morgan), as Angela attended high school with him and knew him during the period he was dating Monica, played by Erika Alexander. Adsit will portray Ed Sommers, a local man beloved by his neighborhood for his perennial role as Santa Claus in the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. His position, however, is a point of contention for Rusty (Bobby Moynihan), who reportedly covets the holiday role.

Joining the cast in other key guest roles are Edi Patterson, Jason Mantzoukas, and André De Shields. Patterson, a standout in “The Righteous Gemstones,” will play Lisa, the head of the neighborhood Homeowners Association (HOA), who holds the ultimate authority over the selection of the local Santa. Mantzoukas, recently seen in “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” is set to play Peter Za, a Zen-like music producer collaborating on a video project with Brina (Precious Way). De Shields, a distinguished performer with Emmy, Tony, and Grammy wins, will take on the role of Vernon Bellow, a veteran documentary filmmaker who serves as a mentor to Radcliffe’s character, Arthur Tobin.

The second season will continue to explore the dual narratives of Reggie’s quest to return to his former heights of fame and Arthur’s pursuit of professional and personal redemption through his filmmaking. Along with the new additions, the series will see the return of season one regulars and recurring actors, including Craig Robinson, Heidi Gardner, Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, Chloe Troast, Mike Carlsen, and Arica Himmel. Jalyn Hall also maintains a starring role in the production.

Additional guest appearances for the upcoming season include Boris Kodjoe, Jeremy Culhane, and NBC sportscaster Mike Tirico. The production is executive produced by Carlock, Means, Fey, and Morgan, alongside Eric Gurian and David Miner. The second season of “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins” is scheduled to premiere on Nov. 2.
