Kamala Harris Returns to Campaign Trail With Speech Focusing on Senate Experience

Former Vice President Kamala Harris returned to the campaign trail over the weekend, traveling to New Hampshire to support local Democratic candidates ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. Her visit included stops in Portsmouth and Manchester, where she campaigned alongside party nominees and engaged with advocacy groups.

During a phone banking event in Portsmouth, Harris was joined by Democratic Senate nominee Representative Chris Pappas, gubernatorial candidate Cinde Warmington, and House candidate Stefany Shaheen. Speaking to volunteers and supporters, Harris pointed to her background as a former United States senator to encourage voters and emphasize the importance of representation in Washington.

The stop in New Hampshire, which holds an early position on the national political calendar, drew attention as the former vice president continues her broader midterm travel schedule. Her itinerary also includes upcoming campaign events in Wisconsin to rally with gubernatorial nominee David Crowley, followed by a three-day tour through Georgia beginning Wednesday.

In addition to the phone banking event, Harris participated in a live recording of the “My Body, My Pod” podcast in Manchester, where she sat down with local abortion advocates to discuss reproductive rights and ongoing policy battles.

The New Hampshire congressional race remains one of the more closely watched contests in the state. Pappas, who currently represents New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District, is campaigning as the midterm elections approach, while the political landscape across the state draws heightened attention from national figures in both parties.
