Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein Reportedly Dating Following ‘Office Romance’ Collaboration

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are reportedly exploring a romantic connection, with sources indicating the co-stars have begun dating on a casual basis. The development follows months of public speculation regarding the pair, who recently collaborated on the Netflix film “Office Romance.”

The duo was most recently observed attending a talent manager’s party in Los Angeles on October 16. According to witnesses, Lopez arrived at the event accompanied by her longtime manager, Benny Medina. Goldstein, 46, entered the venue separately and solo. However, the two reportedly departed the gathering together in the same vehicle at the end of the evening.

Sources close to the situation suggest that the relationship is currently in a “casual” phase. One individual familiar with the pair noted that they share a mutual affinity for social outings, including frequenting restaurants and parties. This social dynamic has been contrasted with the more reserved public profile of Lopez’s former husband, Ben Affleck, from whom she filed for divorce in August 2024 after two years of marriage.

The professional relationship between Lopez and Goldstein appears to have served as the foundation for their personal connection. Goldstein, known for his work on “Ted Lasso,” reportedly wrote the screenplay for “Office Romance” specifically with Lopez in mind. While the two maintained a professional demeanor on set, those present during production described their on-screen chemistry as significant.

A timeline of their public appearances suggests a growing bond throughout 2025. In March 2025, the pair was seen attending the Broadway production of “Oh, Mary!” together. Principal photography for their film project commenced the following month, in April 2025. By May, they were seen together at the Netflix upfronts at Sunset Pier 94 Studios in Manhattan.

During a heavy promotional cycle in June, the pair made several joint appearances, including a speed-dating promotional event in New York on June 1 and the film’s New York City premiere on June 2. They traveled to London immediately after for the United Kingdom premiere on June 3.

Despite the current reports, both Lopez and Goldstein previously addressed and dismissed dating rumors during an interview on the “Today” show on June 2. When asked directly by Savannah Guthrie if they were dating in real life, Lopez responded in the negative, and Goldstein concurred. At the time, Lopez remarked that she is frequently linked to her co-stars regardless of the reality of the situation, while Goldstein joked that simply standing near the global superstar is often enough to spark such rumors.

However, the narrative shifted slightly in October during Lopez’s appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.” When questioned by host Andy Cohen, Lopez praised Goldstein’s performance in their film, specifically identifying him as her “best on-screen kisser.”

Goldstein’s admiration for Lopez predates their professional collaboration. In a December 2019 episode of his podcast, “Films To Be Buried With,” the comedian spoke enthusiastically about Lopez’s performance in the film “Hustlers,” expressing vocal appreciation for her talent and career longevity.

Goldstein’s most recent public relationship was with actress Beth Rylance in 2021. Lopez, 57, has focused much of the past year on her professional projects following her high-profile split from Affleck. Representatives for both Lopez and Goldstein have not yet issued official comments regarding the nature of their current relationship.
