Stolen $300K Red Bull Shipment Recovered at Suburban Chicago Warehouse

Law enforcement authorities in suburban Chicago have recovered a substantial portion of an energy drink shipment valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars, weeks after the cargo vanished from a Joliet facility.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office announced the recovery of more than $100,000 worth of Red Bull following an investigation that led deputies to a commercial warehouse in Bridgeview. The initial theft was reported on October 7, when a transport containing approximately $300,000 worth of the popular energy drink was taken from Joliet.

Following the October 7 report, sheriff’s investigators developed information indicating that the stolen merchandise had been moved to a warehouse located in Bridgeview. Operating on those leads, investigators went to the suburban facility on October 26 to execute their search.

Inside the warehouse, authorities located and recovered 11 pallets containing more than 23,000 individual cans of Red Bull originating from the original stolen cargo. According to the sheriff’s office, the recovered energy drinks carry an estimated value of about $107,000.

While the recovery marks a significant step in the case, the broader investigation remains active. As of the latest update from law enforcement, no suspects have been taken into custody or publicly identified in connection with the theft. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office stated that inquiries into the individuals responsible for orchestrating and carrying out the cargo theft are ongoing.
