Spalding County Deputies Release Surveillance Images in North Expressway Vehicle Break-In

Law enforcement officials in Spalding County are turning to the public for assistance in identifying a person of interest linked to a vehicle break-in earlier this month along a busy commercial corridor.

Deputies with the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident report on October 8 regarding a car break-in situated in the 2900 block of North Expressway in Griffin. According to investigators who processed the scene, an unauthorized individual entered a parked vehicle and proceeded to remove multiple items directly from the vehicle’s center console.

Investigators subsequently recovered surveillance camera footage from the area that captured an individual present at the scene during the commission of the crime. However, law enforcement personnel have not yet been able to establish or confirm the identity of the person recorded on the video.

Authorities have released surveillance images in hopes that community members might recognize the individual and come forward with tips. At this stage of the investigation, significant details regarding the stolen property remain undisclosed. Officials have not specified the exact nature of the items taken from the center console, nor have they provided a financial estimate for the loss.

In addition, investigators have not released a detailed physical description of the individual of interest, citing the limited clarity and quality of the available surveillance photographs.

The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone who recognizes the individual depicted in the footage or who possesses relevant information regarding the October 8 incident to contact Sgt. N. McCray directly at 770-467-5453.
