Rayo Vallecano Supporter Groups Welcome Club Concessions While Demanding Further Talks

Supporter groups representing Rayo Vallecano have acknowledged a recent decision by club leadership to refund proportional season ticket amounts for three matches played at Butarque and to return the team’s traditional strip. In a joint statement issued via Plataforma ADRV and signed by 15 distinct fan clubs, supporters described the move as a constructive initial gesture.
While welcoming the concessions, the fan groups stressed that the agreement does not resolve the broader institutional disputes surrounding the club. The statement characterized the development as a partial victory born of collective fan solidarity, cautioning that immediate progress should not be mistaken for a permanent resolution. Supporters noted that while they are willing to step back and de-escalate tensions for the upcoming fixture against Elche, this temporary truce is contingent upon tangible follow-through from club management.
To ensure that the initial gesture translates into lasting institutional change, the supporting peƱas have outlined a firm prerequisite for ongoing cooperation. Fan representatives are demanding a direct meeting with the club’s board of directors prior to the scheduled fixture against Celta on October 31. According to the statement, this summit is non-negotiable for the temporary pause in hostilities to be extended, serving as a litmus test to verify genuine intent from the administration.
The collective message underscored that while the immediate climate of confrontation is being dialled back out of responsibility toward the team and the Vallekas community, the underlying demands for reform remain fully active. The ball is now firmly in the court of club executives to demonstrate that spoken commitments will evolve into enforceable operational changes.
