Rams Rule Out Nate Landman Against Raiders Amid Mounting Injuries

The Los Angeles Rams are facing a deepening personnel crisis ahead of Sunday’s crucial matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, with head coach Sean McVay confirming that linebacker Nate Landman has officially been ruled out due to a concussion.

While McVay noted that Landman is making good progress in his recovery, his absence removes another reliable defensive playmaker from a unit already severely depleted. The defense is currently operating without defensive tackle Poona Ford, who was lost for the season, as well as Kobie Turner, who is sidelined for multiple weeks, and Myles Garrett, who remains in recovery.

The defensive absences compound a wider roster crunch stretching across both sides of the ball for a Rams squad sitting at 2-4 and occupying last place in the NFC West. Los Angeles has struggled with penalties, special teams miscues, and finishing close games through the early portion of the season.

Adding to the defensive concerns, All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie remains questionable for Sunday’s contest. McDuffie missed the previous Sunday’s 18-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals with a groin injury and sat out practice throughout the week.

The offensive outlook is similarly precarious following injuries to key playmakers. Star receiver Puka Nacua sustained a calf injury during Thursday’s practice, held him out of Friday’s session, and is listed as questionable as a game-time decision.

If Nacua is unable to take the field, the Rams will find themselves playing without both primary starting receivers. Wide receiver Davante Adams recently underwent surgery for a ruptured hamstring and is expected to miss six to 10 weeks of action.

With multiple frontline players sidelined or questionable, the mounting injury totals threaten to derail the Rams’ season as they prepare to host Las Vegas.
