NBA Guard Tyler Herro Fires Back at Ex Over ‘Inappropriate’ Text Claims

NBA guard Tyler Herro is hitting back at allegations from his former partner, Katya Henry, that he has been sending inappropriate and aggressive text messages amid an ongoing court battle over custody and financial support.
According to court documents, Herro alleges that Henry is intentionally manufacturing artificial drama in the media to gain leverage and secure increased financial support from him. The professional basketball player claims that Henry has introduced unnecessary and irrelevant allegations into the legal proceedings in an effort to villainize a working father who simply wishes to see his children.
The legal dispute follows Henry’s recent court filings requesting strict boundaries on communication between the two former partners. Specifically, Henry asked a judge to mandate that all conversations take place through a court-monitored application, asserting that Herro had sent a series of aggressive and inappropriate messages following their separation. She also contended that the personal friction intensified after Herro was traded from the Miami Heat to the Milwaukee Bucks.
In his response, Herro dismissed the claims as unfounded, maintaining that their communication reflects typical discussions between former couples. While conceding that neither party has used perfect language during their exchanges, Herro insisted that his messages remain reasonable and do not warrant legal intervention.

Herro also addressed specific complaints raised by Henry regarding custody scheduling, defending his request for Henry to communicate with his mother to coordinate time with their children. Additionally, Herro objected to requests made by Henry for specific safeguards to be implemented during his scheduled parenting time, arguing that such measures are entirely unnecessary.
The former couple shares two children following their split in 2025. Henry filed for formal custody and financial support earlier this year, setting off the ongoing legal proceedings.
