Milwaukee Brewers Host Tampa Bay Rays for World Series Game 2

The Milwaukee Brewers are set to host the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday night for Game 2 of the World Series, as the championship battle continues at American Family Field. Following the series opener on Friday, the city of Milwaukee has seen a significant surge in fan activity and logistical preparations for the franchise’s high-stakes postseason run.
The first pitch for Saturday’s contest is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. local time. To accommodate the thousands of fans expected at the stadium, parking lots at American Family Field are slated to open at 3:00 p.m., followed by the opening of stadium gates at 4:00 p.m. Local officials have encouraged ticketholders to arrive early given the high volume of traffic and the security protocols associated with the Fall Classic.
A major development for the Brewers’ dugout involves a significant adjustment to the 26-man roster for the World Series. Brandon Woodruff, a multi-time All-Star, has been officially added to the active roster for this final round of the postseason. To make room for Woodruff, pitcher Chad Patrick was left off the list. The rest of the roster remains nearly identical to the group that secured the first two rounds of the playoffs, but the inclusion of Woodruff provides a veteran presence and a boost to the pitching staff as the team seeks to navigate a long series against a disciplined Rays lineup.
Fan enthusiasm for the series has reached what team staff describes as unprecedented levels. Official team stores at American Family Field have reported record-breaking demand for commemorative merchandise. On game days, the primary retail locations at the home plate and left-field gates will remain open for ticketed fans until 30 minutes after the final out. For those without tickets, the stores maintain daily hours from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays. The team store is also offering phone orders and home shipping to accommodate fans outside the immediate area.
Beyond the stadium, the city has been transformed to celebrate the championship series. In the Historic Third Ward, a retro Brewers fan experience has been established at Catalano Square, offering a curated look at the franchise’s history. Meanwhile, the demand for communal viewing experiences has reached a fever pitch. Official watch parties hosted at the stadium for upcoming road games in Florida sold out in less than 30 minutes. This limited availability has triggered a volatile secondary market, with tickets appearing on resale websites for prices ranging from $100 to as high as $400.
Weather conditions for Game 2 are expected to remain favorable for both players and spectators. Forecasters anticipate a continuation of a pleasant weekend in the Milwaukee area, with daytime highs reaching into the 70s, providing ideal conditions for pre-game tailgating.
The World Series follows a 2-3-2 home-field format. Following the conclusion of Saturday’s game, the series will shift to Florida for at least two games at Tropicana Field. On Monday, Oct. 26, the teams will meet for Game 3 at 7:00 p.m. CT. This will be followed by Game 4 on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
If the series remains undecided after the fourth meeting, Game 5 will be held in Tampa on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Should the matchup require further play, the teams will return to Milwaukee for Game 6 on Friday, Oct. 30, and a potential Game 7 on Saturday, Oct. 31. All games in the series are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT starts, with national broadcast and streaming coverage available throughout the championship.
