Grizzlies Face Kings in Sacramento as Rookie Sensation Cameron Boozer Leads Memphis

The Memphis Grizzlies will look to push their early-season record to 3-0 on Sunday night when they travel to Northern California to face the Sacramento Kings at the Golden 1 Center. The matchup marks the final game of a seven-game NBA slate on Sunday, bringing rookie standout Cameron Boozer and the Grizzlies up against a struggling Sacramento squad.

Memphis entered the 2026-27 campaign as a sleeper pick to make the play-in tournament and has wasted no time validating those expectations. The Grizzlies opened their schedule with victories over the Utah and Golden State Warriors. However, visiting Memphis will be missing center Zach Edey, who is sidelined with an injury, while teammate Cedric Coward enters the matchup listed as questionable.

Sacramento is searching for its first victory of the young season after dropping its first two contests. The Kings suffered a heavy defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers in their season opener before falling to the Portland Trail Blazers by eight points at home in their most recent outing. The team’s early struggles have left them at 0-2, with early metrics placing the squad near the bottom of the league in offensive rating and net rating.

DraftKings Sportsbook has installed the Grizzlies as 3.5-point favorites on the road, with the spread priced at -112 for Memphis and -108 for Sacramento. The moneyline favors the visitors at -166, while the Kings sit at +140 as home underdogs. The over/under total for the contest is set at 234.5 points, with both sides priced at -110.

On the injury front, the Kings are dealing with a heavily depleted roster. Dylan Cardwell, Maxime Raynaud, and Ben Simmons have all been ruled out for Sunday’s game, while Keegan Murray is listed as questionable.

From a player prop perspective, attention centers heavily on Boozer, the No. 3 overall pick in the draft. Boozer has put together an impressive start to his professional career, averaging 16.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. After shooting 2-for-15 in his debut, he rebounded with a 25-point performance in the win over Golden State and has logged over 33 minutes of playing time in both of his outings.

Analysts have highlighted Boozer’s rebounding prop line, set at over 8.5 rebounds at -133, as an area of value. With Edey out of the lineup, Boozer is expected to see extended opportunities on the glass, having already secured 11 and 13 rebounds in his first two games. While Sacramento features Domantas Sabonis to patrol the paint, the Kings currently rank 25th in rebound percentage and 21st in opponent rebounds per game.

With Sacramento having surrendered more than 120 points to each of its first two opponents, a high-octane Memphis offense led by Boozer and Ty Jerome looks positioned to capitalize. Despite featuring established names like Zach LaVine and Sabonis, the Kings have struggled to generate consistent all-around production, prompting expectations that the visiting Grizzlies can cover the 3.5-point spread on Sunday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. EST, with television coverage available via NBA League Pass, DAZN, and NBC Sports California.
