Green Bay Packers Activate Running Back Josh Jacobs and Defensive Tackle Jordon Riley

The Green Bay Packers made a series of significant roster adjustments ahead of their upcoming matchup, general manager Brian Gutekunst announced on Saturday. The team officially activated running back Josh Jacobs from exempt status and brought defensive tackle Jordon Riley off the reserve/physically unable to perform list.
In addition to the returns of Jacobs and Riley, the Packers strengthened their depth by signing wide receiver Coleman Owen to the active roster straight from the practice squad. The team also elevated edge rusher Arron Mosby from the practice squad to the active roster to provide gameday depth.
Owen, a first-year player measuring 5 feet 10 inches and weighing 181 pounds out of Ohio University, originally joined the Packers’ practice squad on Sept. 30. He was previously elevated for the team’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, where he returned a single punt for 16 yards.
His professional football journey began when he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Indianapolis Colts on May 9, 2025. Owen spent his rookie campaign on the Indianapolis practice squad before seeing action in two regular-season games, during which he logged five kickoff returns for 141 yards—averaging 28.2 yards per return—alongside one punt return for 2 yards.
During his collegiate career, Owen appeared in 53 games split between Ohio University in 2024 and Northern Arizona University from 2019 through 2023. His college resume includes first-team All-MAC honors in 2024, second-team All-Big Sky recognition in both 2022 and 2023, and an All-Big Sky honorable mention in 2021.
The additions of Jacobs and Riley alongside Owen and Mosby bolster the Packers’ lineup as the team prepares for its next competitive test.
