Chloe Fineman Praises Elizabeth Holmes Documentary at Gala

Actor and comedian Chloe Fineman expressed high praise for the new hit documentary chronicling disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes while walking the red carpet at the 2026 TIME100 Next Gala in New York City.
“It was amazing,” Fineman told reporters at Pier 59 on Oct. 29. “I can’t stop thinking about it.”
Titled You Can See Everything and directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, the documentary follows Holmes, her partner Billy Evans, and their two children during a 34-day period in 2023. The footage captures the family just before Holmes began serving her federal prison sentence following her 2022 fraud conviction. Since premiering in U.S. theaters earlier in the month, the film has earned strong critical acclaim, ignited intense online discussions, and surpassed $45 million at the box office.

Fineman has a well-documented history with the subject. In 2019, she posted a viral video on Instagram impersonating Holmes while wearing the entrepreneur’s signature black turtleneck and heavy black eyeliner. She later reshared the clip on TikTok in September to coincide with the film’s theatrical release.
Speaking on the red carpet—where she attended to write the 2026 TIME100 Next profile for fashion designer Daniella Kallmeyer—Fineman quipped that she and Holmes share a “kindred spirit” trait because neither of them blink frequently. She also noted that she was eager to see how Halloween revelers might draw inspiration from the documentary for their costumes.
Reflecting on specific scenes, Fineman highlighted a particular domestic sequence that left a lasting impression. “The egg whisking—a really haunting moment, I think, for many women and men,” she said, adding that the project contained “a lot of harrowing moments.”
The annual gala celebrating emerging leaders was presented by corporate sponsors including Rolex, Toyota, American Airlines, Danantara, the Project Management Institute, and Target.
