Chicago Fire FC Partners With NBC Drama to Honor Local First Responders at Soldier Field

Chicago Fire FC announced a special partnership with NBC’s hit drama series “Chicago Fire” to honor local frontline workers in recognition of National First Responders Day. The collaboration, hosted by the Chicago Fire Foundation, brings cast members from the television show to Soldier Field for the club’s home match against Orlando City SC.

Selected local firefighters, paramedics, and emergency personnel have been invited to join the actors in a VIP suite and receive on-field recognition during the game. In addition to the VIP experience, the club has made a dedicated ticket package available to all local first responders as part of the evening’s tributes.

The match coincides with Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Zayed Law Offices, and carries significant weight for the team. The Men in Red enter the fixture with postseason seeding implications on the line during their push into the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs.

Dan Moriarty, Chief Marketing Officer at Chicago Fire FC, emphasized the significance of uniting the sports club and the television franchise. Moriarty noted that the organization is proud to leverage its platform to thank the real-world professionals who protect, heal, and serve Chicago and its surrounding communities.

Victor Teran, showrunner for the television series, pointed to the milestone 15th season of the show, which aligns with a historic 100-year celebration for NBC. Teran stated that the core of the show’s enduring appeal in Chicago has always been its connection to the community.

The television drama, produced by Universal Television in association with Wolf Entertainment, follows the professional and personal lives of the fictional firefighters and paramedics of Firehouse 51. The program currently airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. CT on NBC and stars Taylor Kinney, Miranda Rae Mayo, David Eigenberg, Christian Stolte, Hanako Greensmith, Jocelyn Hudon, Joe Miñoso, Brandon Larracuente, and Da’Vinchi.

The tribute arrives during a defining era for the soccer club under owner Joe Mansueto. Chicago Fire FC recently clinched back-to-back postseason appearances in 2025 and 2026 for the first time since 2009, marking their 15th postseason appearance in club history and the second under Director of Football and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter.

Following the Oct. 28 match against Orlando City SC at Soldier Field, the Men in Red will wrap up their regular season schedule on Nov. 7 by hosting the Columbus Crew at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois.
