Alexander Brothers Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison for Decades-Long Sex Trafficking Scheme

Three brothers who built high-profile careers in real estate and security were each sentenced Tuesday to 30 years in federal prison for a multi-year sex trafficking scheme that victimized dozens of women. Alon, Oren, and Tal Alexander learned their fate in a New York City courtroom after being convicted of drugging and assaulting women across multiple locations over a period spanning more than a decade.
Federal prosecutors stated that the trio exploited their wealth, social standing, and real estate prominence to lure and sexually assault at least 70 women, including two individuals who were teenagers at the time of the offenses. The abusive pattern began as early as 2001 or 2002 while the brothers were still in high school, according to court indictments. Prosecutors described the men as serial rapists who rendered their targets incapacitated through drugs and frequently documented the assaults with photographs.
During Tuesday’s sentencing hearing, several survivors delivered emotional victim impact statements, addressing the brothers directly and detailing the profound trauma they continue to endure. Bela Koval recounted her experience of visiting the Hamptons, describing what should have been a scenic trip as a stay in a “mansion of horror.” Another survivor, Lindsey Acree, spoke directly to Oren Alexander before leaving the courtroom to applause from fellow victims, emphasizing the lasting impact she hopes her testimony will have for future generations.
The prosecution and survivors had urged U.S. District Judge Valerie Caproni to hand down maximum penalties for each defendant, whereas defense attorneys requested the statutory minimum of 15 years. Throughout the legal proceedings, the brothers maintained their innocence and pleaded not guilty. Their defense counsel argued during the trial that the sexual encounters were consensual and that the men’s inappropriate banter did not cross the threshold into criminal conduct.
Before their arrests in December 2024, Alon and Oren Alexander had achieved substantial commercial success in the luxury real estate markets of New York, Miami, and Los Angeles, earning the moniker “The A Team.” Their brother, Tal, graduated from law school and subsequently worked in an executive capacity at the family’s private security firm.
A federal jury in March found the brothers guilty on all 10 criminal counts filed against them, which included conspiracy to commit sex trafficking alongside multiple charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. Following the trial, U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton remarked on the pervasive nature of such offenses, noting that federal sex crimes frequently go unreported and unpunished across various levels of society.
