President Trump and First Lady Cast Early In-Person Ballots in Florida

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump visited the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections building on Saturday morning to cast their ballots in person, marking the official start of early voting in Florida. The appearance in West Palm Beach on October 24 occurred just before the President departed for a campaign swing in Georgia, where he is scheduled to headline rallies for Republican candidates.

While the President is registered to vote in Palm Beach County, his decision to vote early in person follows a week of intense activity on the campaign trail. He previously indicated a personal preference for voting on Election Day, and in several recent election cycles, he opted to vote by mail. Despite his personal use of the mail-in system in the past, Trump has remained a vocal critic of widespread mail-in voting, often advocating for in-person participation.

The Florida early voting period, which began Saturday, is scheduled to run through October 31. State officials confirmed that the window allows residents to cast their ballots at designated locations across the county ahead of the November midterm elections. When questioned by reporters earlier this week regarding his plans for Election Day itself, the President declined to provide specifics on his whereabouts or scheduled activities.

Immediately following his stop at the elections building, the President traveled to Perry, Georgia. The visit was designed to bolster support for Republican Representatives Mike Collins and Rick Jackson. Trump has spent much of the week traveling to key states, holding rallies in South Carolina on Wednesday and Iowa on Thursday. On Friday evening, he delivered remarks at an event in Fort Myers, Florida.

Ahead of his arrival in Georgia, Trump took to Truth Social to offer a full-throated endorsement of Collins and Jackson, describing them as “two incredible people.” In the same post, he utilized sharp rhetoric to characterize their political opponents, labeling them “Radical Left Lowlifes and Lunatics.” He further claimed that his opponents seek to open borders and implement policies regarding firearms and transgender issues that he described as “nonsense.”

Trump also referenced his previous performance in the state, claiming he won Georgia with a “record vote” as he looked forward to the Saturday rally. As the midterm campaign enters its final stretch, the President’s schedule remains focused on high-profile appearances in states where Republican incumbents and challengers are facing competitive races.
