Larry Kudlow Predicts Imminent U.S. and Israeli Military Action Against Iran

President Donald Trump and Israeli leadership are preparing for renewed military strikes against Iran following the conclusion of upcoming elections, according to economic commentator and former National Economic Council director Larry Kudlow. Speaking on his television program, Kudlow asserted that international pressure and ongoing strategic planning point toward imminent military action targeting Iranian infrastructure.
Kudlow referenced remarks made by President Trump in Greenville, North Carolina, where the president suggested that decisive action would follow the resolution of current hostilities. Citing former Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette, Kudlow emphasized that administration warnings regarding foreign adversaries are typically followed through. He argued that the current leadership has no intention of engaging in diplomatic negotiations with Tehran, characterizing past interactions as bad faith.
At the same time, the administration’s economic policies have severely constricted the Iranian state’s financial resources. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has effectively suppressed the Iranian economy through comprehensive economic measures, while a naval blockade has targeted maritime operations. According to reports discussed on the broadcast, Iran’s shadow tanker fleet operating in Asian and Chinese waters has depleted its operations, severely restricting external trade with neighboring regions such as Pakistan and Afghanistan.
These economic constraints have compromised the Iranian government’s internal stability. Kudlow noted that the administration is unable to reliably compensate military personnel, law enforcement, and regional militias, while domestic conditions deteriorate amid currency devaluation and food scarcity. President Trump has also conferred with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, issuing an endorsement ahead of upcoming Israeli elections, further aligning allied strategies.
Recent reporting indicates that military planners in the United States and Israel have formulated contingency proposals for renewed strikes. Potential targets under consideration include Iranian energy infrastructure—potentially encompassing Kharg Island—as well as nuclear facilities undergoing reconstruction and ballistic missile and drone arsenals. While critics and former defense officials have expressed skepticism regarding the long-term strategic efficacy of such bombing campaigns, Kudlow maintained that the operational planning is accurate and that allied forces possess the capability to execute the campaign over an extended timeframe, estimating a duration of up to two weeks.
