John Krasinski and Emily Blunt Sell Brooklyn Heights Apartment for $6.5 Million

Actors John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have completed the off-market sale of their ninth-floor apartment at The Standish in Brooklyn Heights for $6.5 million. The transaction, finalized in June 2026, generated a $1.5 million profit over the $5 million purchase price paid by a trust linked to the couple in January 2024, marking a 30% increase in value in roughly two years.

Property records cited local reporting indicating that the sale was handled through an associated trust, while the buyer utilized a limited liability company to maintain privacy. The nearly 1,600-square-foot residence, designated as unit 9B, is situated directly above an eighth-floor property the couple previously acquired. Comparable units along the building’s B line feature three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Krasinski and Blunt first established a presence in the historic limestone-and-brick building in 2018 by purchasing two eighth-floor apartments for a combined $11 million. Following the 2024 acquisition of unit 9B, city records show renovation permits were filed for the space, though the specific motivation behind purchasing and subsequently parting with the ninth-floor unit has not been disclosed.

The Standish, originally completed in 1903, has drawn numerous high-profile residents over the years. Actor Matt Damon acquired a sprawling 6,000-square-foot penthouse in the building for $16.7 million in 2017. Additionally, actor Adam Driver purchased three sixth-floor apartments spanning a combined 3,500 square feet for $11.5 million earlier in 2026. The luxury residential building provides occupants with a 24-hour doorman, a fitness center, and a rooftop terrace featuring harbor views.

Krasinski is widely recognized for his work on television in The Office and as the director and star of the A Quiet Place franchise, while Blunt has starred in prominent films including The Devil Wears Prada and Mary Poppins Returns. Their recent transaction reflects continued activity within the high-end residential real estate market.
