European Football Transfer Rumors: Jeltsch, Scott, Tresoldi, and Managerial Changes

Top European clubs are actively monitoring young defensive and attacking talent ahead of the upcoming transfer window, with Stuttgart centre-back Finn Jeltsch drawing attention from prominent sides. Liverpool, Barcelona, and Real Madrid are among the top continental clubs keeping tabs on the 20-year-old German defender.
Chelsea remain fully focused on securing Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott after a prospective move fell through during the summer window. The 23-year-old England midfielder is also listed on Liverpool’s shortlist of targets.
Meanwhile, Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi has attracted scouting interest from several English clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle. However, the Belgian club has reportedly ruled out selling the 22-year-old Germany youth international during the January window.
In Spain, Valencia winger David Otorbi is a potential January target for Liverpool. The Premier League side could pursue the 19-year-old Spanish winger if Valencia exercises an option to increase his release clause from thirty million pounds to fifty million pounds. Additionally, Juventus has identified Monaco’s twenty-five-year-old American striker Folarin Balogun as their primary January target, following the collapse of his planned deadline-day transfer to Everton.
In Italy and Spain, Brighton remains unconcerned about potential outside interest in twenty-three-year-old Paraguay midfielder Diego Gomez, despite drawing attention from AC Milan and Atletico Madrid.
On the managerial front, Manchester United reportedly considered dismissing Michael Carrick this week but ultimately held off after failing to reach an agreement on a suitable successor. Should the club pursue Newcastle’s Eddie Howe as Carrick’s replacement, Manchester United would be required to pay approximately three million pounds in compensation.
Elsewhere, Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage faces mounting pressure as his side prepares to face Tottenham on Saturday, with speculation suggesting a defeat could lead to his dismissal.
