Cowboys Get Pickens and Porter Back for Monday Night Clash

The Dallas Cowboys enter Monday night’s crucial game against the Philadelphia Eagles with key reinforcements on both sides of the ball. Wide receiver George Pickens, managing a shoulder issue, and cornerback Joey Porter Jr., dealing with an ankle concern, cleared final injury reports after participating fully in Saturday’s practice. Neither player carries an injury designation heading into the primetime matchup.
While the return of Pickens and Porter provides a significant boost, the Cowboys face notable roster absences for the contest. The team officially ruled out offensive tackle Drew Shelton due to a hamstring injury, wide receiver KaVontae Turpin with a rib issue, and linebacker Dee Winters because of a calf problem.
Dallas also lists two players as questionable as they work their way back from injuries: outside linebacker Marist Liufau, who is recovering from a forearm injury, and safety P.J. Locke, dealing with a foot concern. Both Liufau and Locke are currently navigating their designated 21-day return-to-practice windows. To make either player active for Monday’s game, the Cowboys would have had to execute corresponding roster moves by Sunday to return them to the active 53-player roster.
Across the field, the Philadelphia Eagles deal with their own substantial roster hurdles ahead of the divisional showdown. The Eagles ruled out four players for Monday night, a group that features wide receiver DeVonta Smith due to a hamstring injury and linebacker Nolan Smith, who is sidelined by a concussion.
In addition to their confirmed absences, the Eagles listed seven players as questionable on their final injury report. That uncertain group includes high-profile running back Saquon Barkley, who is managing a hamstring issue, and outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard, who is listed with an ankle concern as the team finalizes its game-day preparations.
