Pentagon Files Reveal Federal Agent Encounter With Silent Triangular Craft Over National Security Site

The Pentagon has released a new collection of files detailing an encounter between federal agents and a silent, triangular aircraft near a national security site in the western United States. According to the documents, the craft exhibited flight characteristics that defied conventional aeronautical expectations, including the ability to transition from a dead stop to high-velocity flight without producing sound, exhaust, or any visible physical disturbance.
The disclosure, made public on Friday, represents the seventh batch of files released under an executive order signed by President Trump earlier this year. This mandate requires the declassification and release of sensitive unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) files. The latest release consists of 28 PDF documents, with the most striking account involving a memo from the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) and a corroborating signed statement given to the FBI.
The incident took place in June at an unspecified sensitive location in the western U.S. Federal agents on duty were alerted to the object by a third colleague positioned nearby. Upon relocating to gain a clearer vantage point, the agents observed the craft positioned above a ridgeline to the west, silhouetted against the post-sunset glow of the horizon. They described the object as a substantial, non-reflective, matte-black triangular craft that bore a resemblance to a delta-wing drone. Investigators recorded the object’s dimensions as approximately nine to 15 feet in wingspan, six to nine feet in depth, and one to two feet in thickness.
Technical observations included in the AARO report highlight the craft’s unusual kinematic profile. The object performed a slow, perfectly vertical ascent directly over the ridge, climbing between 200 and 300 feet. During this climb, the craft maintained a completely static orientation, showing no signs of the tilting, swaying, or wobbling typically associated with vertical takeoff aircraft. The agents reported that this maneuver occurred in “absolute acoustic silence.”
Using an infrared scope, the agents determined that the airframe appeared hotter than the ambient temperature, yet it maintained a perfectly consistent thermal signature across the entire craft. Crucially, no exhaust gases were visible on the thermal imaging. After reaching its peak altitude above the ridge, the craft stopped instantaneously and hovered for approximately 20 seconds. It then accelerated to a speed the agents compared to that of a military fighter jet, vanishing from sight within seconds. Investigators noted that the absolute silence persisted even during this high-velocity departure.
A ground survey conducted the following morning in the canyon drainage below the sighting location yielded no physical evidence of the encounter. Search teams found no wreckage, ground scarring, vegetation damage, or impact signatures such as smoke or dust. Despite the lack of physical debris, the Pentagon noted that the AARO has flagged the case for further investigation, citing the close alignment of the craft’s physical and flight characteristics with other reported incidents in the region.
This June sighting is the latest in a string of reported encounters by federal personnel in the western United States. Previous disclosures mentioned in the files include a 2023 report where agents at an undisclosed location observed orange orbs that appeared to release smaller red orbs over a two-day span. One agent famously compared the movement of the red lights to “grapes being expelled from a basketball.” Another incident, detailed in August, involved an agent who captured infrared footage of two “black-hot” objects traveling together at a consistent, slow speed. The recurring nature of these sightings has prompted federal investigators to look for patterns in the morphological features and movement profiles of objects reported near national security infrastructure.
