Harris County Teen Accused of Multi-Month Crime Spree While Free on Three Jail Bonds

An 18-year-old Harris County resident is back in jail with his bond set at $100,000 after authorities accused him of carrying out a continuous string of crimes while free on three separate jail bonds. Court documents and local victim advocates indicate that the suspect, identified as King Solomon Thomas, accumulated a significant juvenile record marked by repeated probation violations before transitioning into adult court proceedings.
According to records from the Harris County District Clerk’s office and statements from Crime Stoppers, Thomas was already out on bond for alleged catalytic converter theft when he reportedly returned to committing the exact same offense. Law enforcement officials noted that during a subsequent intervention, authorities discovered four stolen catalytic converters inside the trunk of his vehicle.
In addition to the repeated property crimes, Thomas faces a charge of possessing a machine gun, further escalating the severity of his legal situation. Andy Kahan, director of victim services and advocacy for Crime Stoppers, pointed out that the teenager was bound by multiple conditions of release that were repeatedly ignored. Court records reflect that Thomas faced several bond violations while under the supervision of the 482nd District Court.
Legal authorities have now consolidated his custody status with the new $100,000 bond requirement, halting the cycle of pre-trial releases that allowed him to remain on the streets during the alleged two-month crime spree. The ongoing judicial proceedings in the 482nd District Court will determine the next steps in addressing both the property theft charges and the weapons violation.
