Attack on Titan 3 Confirms December Release Date Along With Special Editions

The gaming franchise based on the hit anime and manga is returning this winter. Koei Tecmo has officially scheduled Attackon Titan 3 for release on December 10, 2026, with a Steam launch arriving one day early on December 9. Preorders for the title are currently open.
In the upcoming installment, players will experience the entire narrative from beginning to end. While users will control an original character, they will serve as a member of the Survey Corps and fight alongside established characters including Levi and Mikasa. Beyond the PC release on Steam, the title is launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Alongside the standard release, Koei Tecmo is offering a steelbook launch edition containing an art print and bonus downloadable content. A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available, providing players with an early access key that unlocks the game 72 hours ahead of the official launch. Additionally, players who maintain save data from Attack on Titan 2 or Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle on the same platform will receive undisclosed bonuses.
First revealed during Summer Game Fest 2026, Attack on Titan 3 marks the franchise’s first new gaming entry since the manga concluded in April 2021 and the anime wrapped up in November 2023. The series began with a worldwide release in August 2016, followed by a direct sequel in March 2018. Koei Tecmo debuted the official gameplay trailer in early July 2026.
The game’s arrival follows a theatrical run earlier this year for the anime’s cinematic finale. Attack on Titan: The Last Attack was screened in theaters across the United States and Canada on May 18 through Crunchyroll’s Anime Nights in a 4K version. The film compiled the concluding episodes, showcasing Eren’s apocalyptic rumbling and the final stand of the united alliance of former allies and enemies.
